David / Roberto / Goran the start of Ambassadors in South America - Maipu, Chile Before going to the mission field fulltime, I was employed by Microsoft in Redmond, WA working as the Chief Story Teller in the Windows Marketing Group. In easier to understand terms, I was responsible for telling the Windows story on the official Windows web site www.windows.com. Prior to joining Microsoft I spent my entire career in the publishing industry, publishing everything from Sunday School materials and college textbooks to the world's leading books on Photoshop and web design. Lynda Weinman, Scott Kelby, and Jakob Nielsen are some of the authors I have had the honor and pleasure to have published. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio I am the youngest of 10 children. My mother Jacklyn raised all 10 of us on her own (by the grace of God) since I was 3 years old. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Judson College (now Judson University), where I met my beautiful wife Michelle. We have lived in Chicago, Boston, Indianapolis, Seattle, Costa Rica and now Maipu Santiago, Chile. I was a 4 year varsity soccer player at Judson and also an assistant coach for one season. Judson is home to the 6x National Christian College soccer champions and the coach with the most victories in the NAIA; Steve Burke. Judson District Championship (#18 in the photo) / David, Sharon Burke, Steve Burke, Ricardo Salazar, Michelle 2011 My favorite teams include Colo Colo, Barcelona, Santos (Brasil), Corinthians, y Paris St. Germain. My favorite players are Pele, Andres Iniesta, Kaka, Leo Messi, Javier Pastore, Arturo Vidal, Xavi, Alexis Sanchez, Gerard Pique, Benoit Cheyrou, Alou Diarra, Ramires, y Giovanni Van Bronckhorst. I love to collect futbol jerseys and practice jerseys. Favs include Valmir's first Ambassadors jersey, France 2011, Colo Colo 2010, my Judson jerseys, and my Y/B old cotton Umbro that started it all.
El Equipo Hermanos; Diego, David, Pulga, Maxi / With Los Locos from our home church Oriente Proverbs 3:5,6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, 6 in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Colossians 3:23 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:14 - 17 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. On TV in Chile before a Colo Colo game with Nick Randolph / Judson P-O-W-E-R! A Psalm that inspires, comforts and challenges all at the same time. Psalm 139:1-6 1 O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. 5 You hem me in—behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
